About
labor of love.
Each bloom is lovingly crafted from quality crepe paper: hand-cut petals, each one painted or stained by hand to ensure a realistic expression of the diversity found in nature. No two stems are exactly alike. I am available for collaboration on custom bouquets, centerpieces, wall hangings, mobiles, installations, and more. Feel free to reach out for options and pricing.
about me.
After a decade in NYC, I recently moved my studio into a 100-year-old farmhouse in my home state of Kentucky. I have been a paper florist since 2018, when I created all the blooms for our wedding and fell in love with the art form. I am also the author of a full-length poetry collection (Burn it Down, Forklift Books, 2015). When I create flowers, I try to honor and incorporate what a life spent studying poetry has taught me: precision, patience, and painstaking attention to detail; a sense of balance and scale; texture and aliveness à la Marianne Moore’s “imaginary gardens with real toads in them.”
